The Crisis Counselor shall:

1) Connect with community members who are requesting Crisis Counseling services via the CCP Warmline.

2) Develop and host weekly virtual CCP group sessions via Zoom.

3) Work in a culturally sensitive manner with individuals, families, and groups to provide outreach, emotional support, virtual individual and group crisis counseling, public education, and referrals when needed.

4) Possess knowledge of local and statewide resources and assistance available to individuals and families impacted by COVID-19.

5) Possess a basic understanding of COVID-19 (i.e., clinical signs and symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, transmission, infectious period, contact tracing, isolation, and quarantine) and stay updated with the latest CDC and STATE COVID-19 guidelines.

6) Establish trust with callers and identifies resources that would benefit their situation.

7) Provide counseling to callers, promote resilience and successful coping techniques, and explore the caller's mental and emotional state-of-mind through active, comforting, positive, and problem-solving language.

8) Represent the program in the community and network with other agencies and partners to ensure needs of survivors are met.

9) Provide presentations to community groups on disaster reactions, coping skills, stress management, and the CCP.

10) Use the PROVIDER designated digital applications to provide CCP services.

11) Use the STATE designated digital applications to collect and enter CCP service data in an accurate and timely manner.

12) At a minimum, shall have a high school diploma or General Education Development.
