Position Summary:

Duties include performing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records, and preparing AP financial, statistical, and/or technical reports.

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High School
  • Minimum Field-of-Expertise: has documented prior experience in accounting
  • Required Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support: (renew upon it's expiration)
    • CPR
    • First Aid
    • CPI
  • Preferred Experience: Prior accounting experience. Knowledgeable in the Health Care industry as well as best business practices. Experience with creating a strong team building and people-coaching experience. Experience in creating and building financial processes and systems in high-growth entrepreneurial organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Posts all AP documents to journal, ledger, or voucher books of accounts from supporting data by hand or machine
  • Prepare weekly AP Aging for Controller review
  • Payroll Recap from ADP for entry into Peachtree
  • Issues AP checks from Main Operating account as directed by Controller or Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
  • Issues manual payroll checks from the Main Operating account as needed and directed by the Payroll Department
  • May prepare summary sheets or other work papers for supervisor's or auditor's use
  • May audit and proof accounting or other reports for clerical accuracy and conformance to departmental, county, and state procedures
  • May maintain the cost system, allocating expenditures to accounts in accordance with established procedures
  • Manage Prepaid Expenses and Capital Lease worksheets
  • May perform other accounting duties as may be assigned
